The programme
Six areas, one complete craft.
The máster is organised into six broad areas that overlap across the year. Each one combines short explanations with many hours of practice at the bench — because the craft is learned by doing, not by watching.

Hand tools
The craft begins in the hand. You'll learn to sharpen and tune your own tools, to read the grain of the wood, and to work it with plane, chisel and saw until you achieve precision surfaces and fits — without depending on the machine.

Machinery
Master the machine shop with judgement and with safety. From crosscutting and squaring to profiling on the spindle moulder, you'll learn to dimension and prepare timber with industrial precision without ever losing control of the craft.

Joinery
The joints that define fine cabinetmaking. You'll cut dovetails, mortise and tenon and a whole battery of traditional joints, repeating them until they come out tight, strong and clean by hand.

Advanced techniques
The territory of rare, half-forgotten crafts. You'll recover arts that few workshops still teach — marquetry, turning, carving, bending and laminating wood — practising them until you can shape pieces that solid wood alone won't allow: complex, light and full of detail.

Finishes
The finish is the skin of the piece — and what the client touches. You'll learn to prepare the surface and apply oils, waxes, varnishes and patinas to protect the wood and bring out all its colour and character.

Business and clients
A craft is also a way of life. You'll see how to quote a commission, deal with clients, set prices with judgement, and set up and equip a workshop so you can make a living from cabinetmaking.

The year, step by step
Forty weeks, three phases.
01
Weeks 1 – 14
Foundations
The first fourteen weeks are pure control. You sharpen, you plane and you build your own workbench while the basic gestures of the craft become second nature. By the end of this phase you're working wood by hand with confidence.

Weeks 15 – 30
Technique
The heart of the year: traditional joinery, veneering, bending and machinery. You build increasingly ambitious pieces and keep adding techniques until you hold the cabinetmaker's complete toolkit.

Mastery
You design and build your final piece, learn to document your work, and close the year with the business skills you need to work to commission or open your own workshop.

Before you take the step.
Do I need previous experience?
No. Most of our students start out as beginners. The course is designed for a change of career, from zero.
Can I combine it with a job?
The máster is full time: 1,400 hours over 40 weeks. It's designed for those making the leap for real.
What career paths does it open?
You'll finish with a portfolio of completed pieces and the business skills to work to commission or open your own workshop.
How does payment work?
It's 16,500 € with taxes included: a 6,500 € reservation and the rest in an instalment plan across the course.
How many places are there?
