What data we process

Identifying and contact details you provide to us (name, email, phone number), information about your bookings and purchases, and browsing data when you accept analytics cookies. When you subscribe to the newsletter we ask for your postal code, which we use solely to tailor communications to your area. If you write to us on WhatsApp or Instagram, we also process your phone number or your username and the content of the messages you send us.

Chat assistant and messaging

If you use the website's chat assistant, or write to us on WhatsApp or Instagram, we keep the conversation (your messages and our replies) in order to assist you, review the quality of the service and improve it. Some replies may be prepared with the help of artificial intelligence, always under the supervision of our team; matters concerning your account are always handled by a person. We do not use the conversations for any other purpose, nor do we disclose them to third parties, and you may request their deletion at any time by writing to info@madedemadera.com. Please avoid sharing in the chat any data that is not necessary for your enquiry.

What we use it for

To manage your bookings, courses and memberships; issue the corresponding invoices; handle your requests; and, with your consent, send you communications about the craft and our activities — tailored to your area if you have provided your postal code.

Legal basis

Performance of the contract or of pre-contractual measures, compliance with legal obligations (invoicing), and your consent for communications and non-essential cookies.

Who we share data with

We do not sell or disclose your data. To operate the service we use providers acting as data processors: payment processing (Stripe), email delivery (Resend), hosting and infrastructure (Vercel and Supabase, in European Union data centres), WhatsApp and Instagram messaging (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., when you write to us on those channels) and, only with your consent, analytics and advertising tools (Google, Meta). Meta may transfer data outside the European Economic Area; those transfers are covered by the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We share with our accounting advisers only the data strictly necessary for tax compliance.

How long we keep it

Billing data is kept for the periods required by tax and commercial regulations (as a general rule, a minimum of 6 years). Your account and membership data, for as long as the relationship is active and for the subsequent limitation periods. Conversations with the chat assistant and on the messaging channels are kept for two years from the last message and are then deleted, unless you request their deletion sooner. Marketing data, until you withdraw your consent or unsubscribe — every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to info@madedemadera.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos).
