Roubo Workbench
Build your own Roubo workbench in one intensive week: the most important piece in any workshop, made by you with real fine-woodworking techniques.
A Roubo bench: the heart of your workshop.
Over one intensive week you'll build a Roubo workbench from scratch — sturdy, stable and designed to last a lifetime. You'll work with professional machinery, hand tools and real workshop techniques, completing the whole process: preparing the wood, machining, assembly and fitting the holding systems. You'll finish the course with a bench ready to see you through every future carpentry and fine-woodworking project.

How you're going to do it.
Over the course of the week you'll cover the entire build, from rough timber to finished bench.
You joint and thickness the boards until you get perfectly flat faces and the exact thickness the bench demands.
With the panel saw and mitre saw you cut every piece to precise size so the assembly comes together perfectly.
You rout the mortises, tenons and housings that give the bench its trademark strength and rigidity.
You assemble and glue up the pieces, checking everything is square and gap-free before the final drying.
You fit the bench vices, bolts and holding systems that make the Roubo so functional and versatile day to day.
You apply a protective finish, tweak the final details and take the finished bench home at the end of the week.
