Machines & Portable Power Tools Course
The compulsory course for joining the Made de Madera community: learn to use the workshop's industrial machinery and portable power tools with complete safety and independence.
Ten machines, real independence from day one.
In this intensive course you train in the correct use of six industrial machines and four Festool portable power tools. By the end you'll be working independently, looking after your own safety and the equipment we all share in the space. It's the key to the Made de Madera community and the requirement for activating any membership.

How you'll do it.
We tour the workshop's entire machine line-up, from preparing the wood to the final finish:
You learn to get the faces of your wood perfectly flat and ready to work — the essential first step for any well-made piece of furniture.
You bring your wood to the exact thickness you need with two parallel faces, with precision and control from the very start.
Set-up and use for curved cuts, resawing boards and handling large pieces with complete safety.
Precise straight cuts in large boards and exact angles for frames, structures and any project that calls for efficiency.
Mouldings, drawers, rebates and profiles with table-mounted routing: the power that lifts your pieces to a professional finish.
You master the TS55 saw, the Domino DF500, the sander and the handheld router for cuts, joints and finishes where the fixed machine can't reach.

Why learn with us.
Compulsory training, not optional
This course is the gateway to the workshop: you'll work independently and look after the shared equipment from day one.
Real professional machinery
You practise on the very same industrial machinery and Festool tools you'll use every time you come to Made de Madera.
Small groups, personal attention
Class sizes are kept small so every machine gets explained without rushing and you can ask everything you need to.

Straight off the bench.
