Over the course you'll master the three great wood-bending techniques: steam, lamination and heat. Every session is designed for intensive practice, solving the real problems that come up when you bend wood. You'll also build a professional steam chamber together for the workshop, and make your own artistic lamp to take home.
How you'll do it.
A complete tour of the three bending techniques, from theory to the final result.
Learn to identify which woods respond best to each bending technique and how the grain influences the result.
Set up and use a steam station to soften the wood and shape it without damage, working safely and effectively.
Join thin layers of wood with dedicated glue and even pressure to create durable curves with a smooth, consistent finish.
Use the heat station and the metal pipe to shape the wood with no steam or glue — ideal for fine, detailed curves.
As a group you build a professional steam box that stays in the workshop for you to use in your future projects.
You apply the techniques you've learned to design and build a one-of-a-kind artistic lamp to take home at the end of the course.

You build it as a group during the course and it stays in the workshop, free for you to use in your future projects as a member.

If you cancel
- More than 7 days before: 100% refund.
- Between 7 days and 24 h before: 50% refund.
- Less than 24 h before: no refund.
This reflects the time we need to find another student to fill the place.
If Made de Madera cancels
If we have to cancel the course, we refund you 100%. A course may be cancelled if it doesn't reach the minimum of 3 students enrolled.
Date changes
- More than 15 days before: no penalty.
- Within the 15 days before: 50 € penalty.
