Cabinetmaking Level 2
50 hours to make the leap to a professional level: advanced joints, machine work and a Tea Cabinet built by you from start to finish.
A Tea Cabinet that speaks for your skill.
Your final project is a small cabinet for tea and coffee where you apply everything you've learned during the course: from selecting the wood to the finishing details. You choose the wood and the hardware, and you get personal guidance to make the best decisions. The result is a one-of-a-kind piece, with advanced techniques that show in every joint and every detail.

How you'll do it.
From the fundamentals to professional cabinetmaker's techniques, step by step.
Learn to identify stable timber, read the grain and choose the right material so your furniture lasts for decades.
Master the Domino, the sliding dovetail, mitre joints and tongue-and-groove panels: the joints that define quality cabinetmaking.
In a special session of the course, you'll practise cabinetmaking's most classic joint executed with a chisel, with the precision that marks out a craftsman.
Build frame-style doors with a floating panel, one of the most elegant and functional solutions in fine furniture making.
Fit high-quality hinges by hand, marking out and chopping the recess precisely for a perfect fit with no play.
Master the router, staged sanding techniques, the hand plane for fine adjustments and the application of professional finishes.
You bring together every skill from the course in your Tea Cabinet: design, structure, joints, hardware and a finish to your taste.
